Connecting the Dots
By Austin Frakt
One of the goals of Drivers of Health project is to engage diverse audiences in learning about what affects our health. But how do you get people interested? We thought an interactive might help, so we made one.
The interactive encourages users to indicate what they think drives health by connecting the dots from indirect and direct factors to health. Here’s just one of many possibilities:

There are no wrong answers and you can do this as many times as you like. It’s a work in progress. We encourage you to try it and give us feedback.
After you save your pathway, there is a short survey. This is also a test to see how the interactive might be used to assess how people of different backgrounds and characteristics think about social determinants of health. Clearly this isn’t scientific, but it could be turned into a tool for rigorous study down the road.
Please give it a try and share!
