World Breastfeeding Week

August 1-7, 2020

One by One: Target 2030 is supporting this year’s World Breastfeeding Week to advocate for increased visibility and commitment to supporting breastfeeding as a core part of Universal Health Coverage (UHC) services. The One by One campaign is highlighting breastfeeding as one of the key health practices needed in order to achieve and sustain high quality, accessible health coverage for all, by keeping costs low and addressing poor health outcomes before they can arise

Using the recently launched, “UHC Multi-Sectoral Framework” designed by Harvard Global Health Institute and The Access Challenge, the campaign is taking a closer look into the role that different sectors and actors play in promoting breastfeeding, and preventing child and maternal mortality within comprehensive UHC.
