Daniel M. Blumenthal, MD, MBA, is the Associate Chief Medical Officer at Devoted Health, a Medicare Advantage Insurance Company. He is an Instructor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School, and a Clinical Associate in the Division of Cardiology at the Massachusetts General Hospital, where he maintains an outpatient clinical practice and attends on multiple inpatient clinical services. Dan graduated Magna Cum Laude from Harvard College in 2002 with a B.A. in Government and received his M.D. and M.B.A. degrees from Harvard Medical School and Harvard Business School, respectively. He completed his internal medicine and cardiology training at the Massachusetts General Hospital, and served as the Chief fellow for the MGH Cardiology Division. Dan has received numerous clinical awards, including the MGH Cardiology Division’s Roman DeSanctis Clinical Scholar Award (2015-16) and the American Heart Association’s Laennec Young Clinician Award (2016). Dan’s research focuses on quality improvement, value-based payment design and implementation, cardiovascular disease outcomes, and physician leadership development.
