Internship Details:

  • Duration: June-August
  • Work Environment: Interns join a fast-paced, dynamic public-private partnership organization. Gavi typically hosts 10–15 interns during the summer.
  • Requirements:
    • IT onboarding upon joining.
    • Securing the appropriate visa to enter and work in Switzerland.

Internship Project Description:
The intern will work within the Centralized Evaluation Team (CET) in Gavi’s Evaluation and Learning Unit (EVLU), contributing to strengthening evaluation management and delivery processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting an Evaluation Function Review through benchmarking Gavi’s evaluation practices against global standards (analyzing documents, websites, and stakeholder insights).
  • Drafting guidance materials related to Measurement and Learning.
  • Preparing Requests for Proposals (RFPs) for new evaluation projects.
  • Conducting portfolio-level analyses in key strategic areas.
  • Organizing webinars and dissemination events.
  • Reviewing literature and documents in priority areas.
  • Automating key analytical processes.
  • Engaging with the Evaluation Advisory Committee (EAC) and synthesizing lessons learned into policy briefs.

Qualifications:

  • Interest and/or coursework in public health program evaluation is an advantage.
  • Strong qualitative and quantitative research skills.
  • Ability to synthesize large volumes of information.
  • Curiosity and willingness to collaborate with diverse teams.
