  • Work Environment Details: The Intern will work at the Global Health Campus in Geneva, collaborating with the Executive Director Office (EDO), External Affairs and Strategic Initiatives (EASI), and TB Reach (TBR) teams. The Stop TB Partnership offers a dynamic and culturally diverse environment, with 89 personnel based in Geneva.
  • Duration: 10 weeks June – August
  • Additional Requirements: Interns are expected to actively contribute to team projects and bring enthusiasm for global health, TB eradication, and social justice.

This internship position offers the unique opportunity to work with one of three dynamic teams at the Stop TB Partnership:

While there is only one intern position available, the selected intern will have the chance to choose which team to work with, based on their interests and expertise. Each team offers distinct projects, with opportunities to contribute to global health initiatives, advocacy campaigns, and innovative TB eradication efforts.

Organization Description

The Stop TB Partnership is a global network driving the mission to achieve a world free of tuberculosis (TB). Established in 2001, the Partnership works to ensure access to high-quality diagnosis, treatment, and care for all those vulnerable to TB—a preventable and curable disease that still claims three lives every minute. By coordinating with a wide range of stakeholders, the Stop TB Partnership fosters innovation, strategic initiatives, and advocacy to eliminate TB globally. The Partnership’s inclusive approach emphasizes geographical and gender diversity, striving to reflect the richness of the communities it serves.

Internship Project Description

Interns at the Stop TB Partnership will assist three key teams:

  1. Executive Director Office (EDO) Team:
    • Support high-level initiatives led by the Executive Director.
    • Assist with project coordination, stakeholder engagement, and strategic planning.
    • Contribute to reporting and documentation tasks.
  2. External Affairs and Strategic Initiatives (EASI) Team:
    • Engage in advocacy campaigns and global health outreach efforts.
    • Use social media tools and platforms to promote TB awareness.
    • Collaborate on innovative strategic projects.
  3. TB Reach (TBR) Team:
    • Assist with project planning, monitoring, and results reporting.
    • Support TB-specific innovation projects aimed at improving diagnosis and treatment.
    • Conduct literature reviews and support data analysis activities.

Deliverables

  • Project Support: Assist with project documentation, reporting, and communication materials.
  • Social Media Engagement: Develop and manage content for advocacy and awareness campaigns.
  • Research Contributions: Conduct literature reviews, data collection, and analysis related to TB trends.
  • Strategic Input: Contribute to strategic planning and development initiatives across assigned teams.

Qualifications

  • Preferred Background: Students in public health, social sciences, international relations, or related fields.
  • Required Skills: Strong writing and communication skills; familiarity with social media and data analysis tools.
  • Additional Preferences: Previous experience in global health, advocacy, or related areas is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Other Considerations: A commitment to diversity, equity, and global health justice is highly valued.
