Abstract: Dr Egger will briefly introduce Julian Tudor-Hart’s inverse care law (“The availability of good medical care tends to vary inversely with the need for the population served”), and the COVID-19 epidemic in Switzerland. He will then present a comprehensive analysis of the association between neighbourhood socio-economic position and testing for SARS-CoV-2, test positivity, COVID-19 hospitalisations and deaths in Switzerland, based on surveillance data reported to the Federal Office of Public Health.
